Gramo's New Beat: Pioneering the Digital Era for Music Professionals

Gramo serves as a pivotal Software as a Service (SaaS) platform for Norwegian radio and television broadcasters, enabling them to distribute earned revenue to artists and creators. With an expansive member base that includes major names like NRK, it's evident that their service holds a significant place in the broadcasting ecosystem. The essence of Gramo's vision is to provide transparent insights into how often music and content are played, democratizing access to crucial revenue data for over 36,000 members.

The challenge

 

Despite the potential and reach of Gramo's services, Skalar identified multiple challenges during the engagement. Artists infrequently engaged with the platform - often just once a year. This sporadic use highlighted deeper issues: an inconsistent brand profile, a challenging user experience, difficulty in communications, and an overwhelming strain on customer support.

The solution

 

Skalar stepped in with a holistic approach to redesign Gramo's digital service, especially focusing on "Min Side" - the dedicated artist's page. We aimed to transform Min Side into a digital sanctuary for artists - a comprehensive space that not only provides data but resonates with the artist's journey.

  1. Revamping for Relevance: We started with a complete overhaul of the dashboard, enhancing its usability and making the data visualization more intuitive.
