PrivatMegleren, one of Norway's leading estate agents has developed Kvadrat. A platform that simplifies the process of buying and selling homes, Kvadrat provides both buyers and sellers with a complete overview and control of the entire journey, from start until “sold”.

Problem

Buying a home is a major milestone in people’s lives. Whether it’s a pre-owned property or a new build, the process can cause stress and uncertainty if it’s not designed to be user-friendly for buyers.

Solution

Through the Kvadrat platform, we have optimized the buyer experience for existing homes and designed the customer journey for the sale of new developments.

Results

The Kvadrat platform is expanded to make the buying process clear, safe and effortless for buyers of both existing homes and new builds.

Where we started


Skalar joined the project after Kvadrat had been launched for home sellers. We have worked on adapting the buyer side for both existing homes and new developments. A buyer’s needs are completely different from those of a home seller, and this had to be taken into account when making decisions about user experience and design.

The goal and mission of Skalar


Privatmegleren’s goal with Kvadrat is to offer the market’s best customer journey and achieve high customer satisfaction. Skalar’s assignment has been to create a user experience that is seamless, intuitive, and provides a sense of security for home buyers.

The cooperation with Skalar has been an important driving force in the further development of Kvadrat. Their insight into user experience and ability to transform complex functionality into intuitive design has lifted our entire customer experience. The result is a clearer, safer and more enjoyable experience for buyers of second-hand and newly-built homes as well as increased customer satisfaction.

In September, a new question was added to the buyer survey to measure use of Kvadrat. The first results are now in - and they show a clearly positive effect. On a scale from 0–100 where 80+ represents “ambassadors”, Kvadrat users are on average well within the ambassador segment, while other buyers fall in the upper range of “satisfied”. This indicates that Kvadrat increases customer satisfaction and loyalty. When buyers are more satisfied, the likelihood that they choose PrivatMegleren when selling their own home increases - directly contributing to improved profitability.
